Die functie wordt momenteel bekleed door de heer Hugo de Jonge. Verder bestaat het uit vertegenwoordigers van de drie zuidelijke provincies, het Rijk, de Europese Commissie, kennisinstellingen, milieuorganisaties, het maatschappelijk middenveld en werkgevers- en werknemersorganisaties. Het Monitoringcomit\u00e9 is ingesteld door gedeputeerde staten van de provincie Noord-Brabant, in haar rol van Management Autoriteit (Beheerautoriteit) voor het OPZuid.
